Sunny Chicago

Cho-cho and Ian
Ann-Marie slaved so hard to be a good hostess, she didn't always get a shower
Lauren loved the aquarium
Ok, so not so sunny - but a good time being with Nater and Ann-Marie and fam. Here are the highlights:
  • Chloe and Lauren, who are just five months apart, got to spend time together. Chloe was quite the possessive little bully at first and took everything Lauren tried to play with, including trying to pick up the doormat Lauren touched! By the end of the trip, she was sharing better thanks to Ian's good example. All the boys were so great with her.
  • Seeing "Wicked" downtown - it was awesome, again!
  • Jay remodeling the bathroom while I watched the kids - needless to say, I didn't get a lot of work done, but it was fun to see it come together.
  • Visiting with Cami, Jay's friend from Twin Falls, and her cute family.
  • Eating Giardano's pizza and Mongolian b-que.
  • Ann-Marie's fantastic cooking.
  • Going to the aquarium with Lauren. She LOVES the fishies. She got so excited. The only downer was the dolphin/whale, etc. area and shows were closed for the winter. We'll have to go again next time, because she really loved it.
  • Coming home sick with Lauren throwing up on the plane and Jay following suit that night. My iron stomach that hasn't thrown up in decades failed to produce anything despite the nausea.
  • Lauren improving her crawling and pulling herself up on furniture and walls because she watched Chloe do it. She wants to walk with us all the time.
  • Freezing...

Thank you to Ann-Marie and Nathan for being great hosts. We didn't take photos like we should have. You'll just have to imagine it.

But at least you got one of Ann-Marie unshowered in her PJ's with that SUPER CUTE expression on her face, hahaha

I felt a little guilty for the huge to do list for Jay, Chloe being a brat, giving you the flu on your airplane ride home, and you not getting any work done.

However, that FACT THAT YOU POSTED THAT PICTURE has removed all feelings of guilt!
