Basement - Phase Three

So Jay finally (a month later) had his injury confirmed that he tore both his MCL and ACL and will need surgery. Jay being the over-acheiver that he is, is using his time at home while he awaits surgery on April 30 to continue work on the basement. He finished the shadowboxing on the wall and painting. He also finished the closet in the office and all that painting and finishing work. What isn't in the picture is all the work Dad and Jay and Doug have done to the yard - weeding, leveling the garden and wheelbarrowing mulch to the garden and island.

Dad is coming tomorrow to start laying stone while Jay cuts. Jay's plan is to have a great new room to relax in during his recovery - a great idea. He is so wonderful and we have appreciated the extra help from the fam.

My, what a lovely painted ceiling you have.

Seriously, props to Jay for making your house so mack daddy! And all of this plus a bum knee?

Can't wait until Jay re-does my house. :) Hurry up and heal!

This is looking so good! I can't believe Jay is doing this injured. Can't wait to see the finished project. I'm a sucker for any renovations.
